Organizational culture has a fundamental impact on the functioning of organizations. It creates a sense of identity and unity of purpose, a sense of existence for the members of the organization, helps create commitment, and helps shape behavior because it provides a guide to what is expected of employees in the organization.

However, the term organizational culture is not only used to denote a positive organizational culture that contributes to the successful functioning of the organization. Organizations can also have a poor organizational culture that is not in their favor in achieving their long-term visions.

Such an organizational culture can lead to unproductive behavior, i.e. it will work against the organization and its goals. If such a phenomenon appears in the organization, it is necessary to start working on change.

Why is it necessary to pay focused attention to organizational culture?

  • It is an important determinant of organizational effectiveness.
  • It is the result of a targeted learning process.
  • A good organizational culture reduces conflicts within the company.
  • Ensures continuity and facilitates coordination and control.
  • It reduces the uncertainty of workers, strengthens their resilience, work morale and affects job satisfaction and emotional well-being.
  • It is a source of internal motivation.
  • It is a great competitive advantage.

  • To introduce you to what organizational culture is;
  • Why it is important to pay targeted attention to its formation;
  • To show that without diagnosis, agreement on the present situation, and a plan for a desirable future within 2 to 5 years, working on an ideal organizational culture is like shooting in the dark with no strategy.
