In the period from 2009 to 2018, the number of graduates in Slovakia decreased by 44%. This trend is caused by two factors - lower birth rates and the departure of students to foreign universities.¹ However, technology and global mobility will accelerate it even more. The Slovak market will increasingly struggle with a lack of talent compared to demand from employers.
